Who this is for

You write a newsletter or blog (or want to start one), you mostly work alone, and you don't have unlimited time to test 30 tools to find the right three. Comparison and decision posts on this site exist to save that time.

How we evaluate tools

We weight three things, in order:

1. Real value at a real price. Generous free tiers and honest pricing weigh more than feature lists.
2. Fit for solo writers. Many "best" tools are great for teams of 20 and overkill for one human.
3. Long-term portability. Tools that lock you in get marked down.
